mmmmmm...Legos.

I made this cake for my nephew's 6th birthday party. The theme of the party was Legos, so of course, I had to make a cake in the shape of a lego block. Originally I was going to make several blocks on top of each other, but thought with young children sometimes simpler is better.

Those are marshmallows under the fondant icing. It is a two-layer white cake with butter cream frosting and a layer of fondant on top. It was rich, and a big hit with the boys!

Fun Pool Party Cake

This cake was fun to make - and the kids loved it! The teddy bear cookies are wearing bikinis, and swim trunks while swimming in the icing pool, and sunning themselves on the graham cracker beach. Sure to delight kids and adults at any summer party!

And as you can see, the birthday boy sure liked his cake, too!

Two tiered Fondant Birthday Cake

Two-tiered 30th birthday cake. My first attempt at fondant, and it turned out pretty nicely! There are exactly 30 brown dots for the 30th birthday theme. Bottom layer was vanilla with chocolate icing, and the top layer was vanilla cake with buttercream icing.
